An early post-war poster issued by Northwest Orient with a Boeing 377 Stratocruiser flying over Mount Fuji. Northwest first flew the Stratocruiser in 1949 and began operating routes to Japan and East Asia in 1950, thus becoming one of the first US airlines to begin operating in Asia after the Second World War.
