Very pretty label for the great Strand Hotel in Rangoon. Originally opened by British businessman, John Darwood in 1901, the hotel was subsequently acquired by the Sarkies Brothers who also owned and ran Raffles in Singapore and the Eastern & Oriental Hotel in Penang.
The design is actually not of Rangoon, but the Old Palace Moat at Mandalay.
