Produced around 1930, this is an unusual horizontal format travel poster which promotes the affluent and popular French Riviera town of Cannes. Best known today for its international film festival, in the 1930's Cannes was a holiday destination for well healed French and other European tourists.
George Goursat was a Parisian caricaturist and painter who signed his artwork with the moniker S.E.M.
