Six seconds on King’s Road (2013)
William Furniss
William Furniss studied Engineering at Exeter University, spending much of that time honing his photographic and darkroom skills, and upon graduating in 1991 returned to London where he found work assisting several luminaries of the London photography scene. Relocating to Hong Kong in 1993, Furniss has pursued a dual career in commercial and fine art photography.
Furniss spent two years based in New York which inspired him to explore the photography of motion, long exposures, overlapping imagery, bright lights and colour saturation. Since returning to Hong Kong, he has found much inspiration in defining the symbiotic visual relationship between these two great metropoleis.
