Uncommon and rare photograph album of Hong Kong, containing 24 albumen prints mainly taken in circa 1884. Highlights among the photographs in the album are shots of the Happy Valley Racecourse, View of Marine Police Headquarters and the Signal Tower, Sassoon’s family private house in Pokfulam and Sir Kai Ho’s Private Garden. Besides Hong Kong, it also includes a photograph of Shameen, to the middle of the album. At the rear of the photo album, a listing of photographs named in Chinese was attached which should be written at the same time as album first made.
