New Stanley Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya (1930's)
Original vintage label from the 1930's promoting the New Stanley Hotel in Nairobi. This design was used over many years, but this is the uncommon first state with a blue border and only a three digit phone number.
The New Stanley Hotel, today called the Sarova Stanley, was for many years the preferred place for tourists to stop off and stay en route to safari in Kenya. Among the hotels famous guests are Karen Blixen, Ernest Hemingway and Winston Churchill, all of whom have suites or function rooms named after them at the hotel.
