Expansive nightview panorama of Hong Kong harbour from The Peak. This photograph was taken at a time of much change and construction, especially in Central. The 1935 HSBC Building is floodlit at the centre of the photograph, shortly to be razed.
Francisco Hidalgo was a Spanish born cartoonist who graduated into photography in the 1960's and found fame photographing great cities of the world including Hong Kong, New York, Paris and London. He published a series of successful books and exhibited at galleries worldwide. The image in this poster is an excellent example of Hidalgo's craft.
