Pan American - Hong Kong (1968)
Unknown photographer
Evening time view from North Point looking over the Yacht Club and Causeway Bay typhoon shelter towards Central. By the late 1960’s Hong Kong was on its way to become a city of skyscrapers, and high rise buildings including the Hilton Hotel and Mandarin Oriental can be seen in the distance. Beyond the Yacht Club there is some early stage land reclamation on the Wanchai waterfront which would form the approach roads to the Cross-Harbour Tunnel.
