One of four posters commissioned by the Hong Kong Tourist Association from renowned Chinese American artist Dong Kingman. Kingman lived in Hong Kong as a child before emigrating to California but he maintained close ties with the city for the rest of his long life.
This poster has a scene looking towards Hong Kong island from Kowloon. Kingman's very distinctive style of water-colouring, which he developed through training in both traditional Chinese and Western painting, comes through strongly in this poster.
