The Hong Kong Hotel, extended to six stopries in the 1880s, stands proud on the waterfront in Central, to its immediate right is Pedder Street and the offices of Jardine Matheson & Co. In the left foreground is a spit of land forming part of the 1890's Central reclamation site.
