Octavo, pp xv, 429 + three pages of C.I.M. publications at rear, colour printed folding map tipped in facing the title page, printed by Stanfords and titled “ China showing the stations of the China Inland Mission”, a further map of Eastern Si-chu’an facing the first page. Erratum slip tipped in at page v;  Liberally illustrated with small maps, drawings and from photographs. Bound in pale blue cloth covered hard boards, gilt and black text and decoration to spine and upper board. Previous owner’s name and address to the half title page in black ink and dated Oct. 1895. The book is in excellent bright and clean condition and grades Near Fine.
