First edition. Octavo, pp 183. Bound in black cloth covered hard boards, and in the original dust jacket, un-clipped (21s net). Illustrated with photographs. David Murray's first hand account of the famous Scottish racing team he founded together with Wilkie Wilkinson in 1951 which went on to win Le Mans in 1956 and 1957, racing D-type Jaguars. Among the great drivers who raced for Ecurie Ecosse are Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart and his elder brother Jimmy, Masten Gregory and Innes Ireland.

Near Fine condition book in a Very Good jacket which is worn at the edges and has a little loss at the bottom of the spine (some tape reinforcement to the verso).

The book has been signed to the copyright page by Tommy Dickson, Ian Stewart (both successful Ecurie Ecosse drivers), and George Gauld (mechanic to Ecurie Ecosse driver John Lawrence). In addition on the page of photographs facing p112 Ian Stewart has inscribed "Oh Dear!" and signed next to a picture of a Jaguar he crashed racing in Argentina in 1954 and on the same page Tommy Dickson has signed below a photograph of himself.
