Liberally illustrated with photographs. End-paper maps showing the Author's itinerary. An earlier and very intrepid expedition by the woman who subsequently wrote Forbidden Journey. Here she travels around the Tien Shan and Kizil Kum, high and remote lands which today lie across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.


Book is in VG+ bright condition, a little spotting affecting the fore-edge but not within.
