The world-weary detectives of Yellowthread Street police station: DCI Harry Feiffer, a European born and raised in Hong Kong; Senior Inspector Christopher O'Yee, half-Chinese, half-Caucasian American, and the neurotic team of Inspectors Auden and Spencer – attempt to find the rational basis for inexplicable and seemingly bizarre crimes. Marshall wrote 16 Yellowthread novels between 1975 and 1998 all being set in Hong Kong
