An early post-war poster issued by Northwest Orient with a Boeing 377 Stratocruiser flying over the Philippines. Northwest first flew the Stratocruiser in 1949 and began operating routes to Japan, the Philippines and Hong Kong in 1950, thus becoming one of the first US airlines to begin operating in Asia after the Second World War.
