A very unusual poster for Iraqi Airways, which was founded immediately after the Second World War. In 1947 the airline purchased three British manufactured Vickers Vikings which were dleivered from 1947 and operated until 1953. The aircraft illustrated in this poster, registration Y1-ABP was one of these three Vikings which had a configuratyion of 27 passenger seats.


The poster shows the extent of Iraqi Airways routes during these years from Cairo and Istanbul in the West to Karachi in the East.
