Third impression, 1956 of book originally published in 1946. Yellow cloth covered hard boards, with original dust jacket, un-clipped (30s net). 318 pages.  Illustrated with prints and maps.

 

Excellent account of the period leading up to the First Opium War and the establishment of the Colony of Hong Kong.

 

Book is in Very Good condition, endpapers browned otherwise clean internally. Jacket is a bit worn and rubbed and has a tear top corner of the front board, graded Very Good Minus.
