Colony in Conflict - The Hong Kong Disturbances May 1967-January 1968 (1970)
John COOPER
First edition. Octavo, pp315. Red cloth covered hard boards with original dust jacket. Illustrated with photographs.
Scarce account of the 1967 riots in Hong Kong - backed by the Chinese Communist Party - which aimed to de-stabilise the colonial British government in Hong Kong. The jacket blurb reads: "....it should serve as a lasting record of Hong Kong's worst-ever year and as a pointer to the precarious position in which any small free state on China's border may find itself at any time."
Book has some brown spotting to the edges of the text block, jacket is chipped and worn along top edge, overall Very Good in a Very Good jacket.
