Artist: Alix de Fautereau, was a female French painter who lived in China and Vietnam in the 1920's and 1930's. She spent time in Laos and her large fresco paintings were displayed in the Royal Palace at Luang Prabang.

This poster features the Wat Si Saket, a Buddhist wat in Vientiane, Laos. Built in 1818, this Buddhist monastery is now the oldest remaining pagoda in Vientiane. The poster depicts the traditional New Year's Day event when many of the over two thousand Buddha statues housed inside the monastery are brought out for a procession.
